Growing food

Bringing food in from outside uses energy, creates carbon emissions, and leaves us dependent on supply chains that may be vulnerable to disruption. So the more we can grow ourselves, the more sovereignty we have over our food supplies.

Fresh food just tastes better, and knowing where it’s come from and having a connection with the producer helps our well-being.

Our land and wildlife is in crisis: organic food is kinder to the soil and supports regeneration.
