Transport

Flying

The most carbon-intensive way to get around. In the UK aviation produces 8% of CO2 emissions.

Public transport

We are blessed with a decent bus service into Bristol and to Nailsea. Use it! Use trains.

Cycling

We have a national cycle route running through the village, and an off-road route into Bristol.

Electric bikes make getting up hills easy even for the older amongst us.

We now have our own BikeSmiths shop on Lovelinch Gardens.

Driving

Electric cars are here now – but still have a high embedded cost in the production of the batteries, and still drop microfibres every time we use the brakes.

Drive as little as possible.
